The
concept of Takeda instruments is the popularization of bassoons.
The instruments are all designed by Yuhiko Takeda, former bassoonist
of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. After resigning from his orchestral
position in Tokyo to devote more time to teaching, Takeda began developing
an instrument that would allow students enhanced progress on high quality
instruments, thereby eliminating the ‘student level’ attributes
and proceeding directly to what is important for the best playing capability.
